Robbie McDaniel
Robbie Dean “Rob” McDaniel, 64, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away at his home on December 26, 2025. Rob was born on August 24, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in Shawnee, Kansas. He graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 1979.
After his father, Richard McDaniel, passed away in 2019, Rob cared for his mother, Evelyn, until she passed away in 2022. He is also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Beth McDaniel, and niece, Heather.
Rob is survived by his brother Dennis McDaniel of Ogden, Utah; nephews Nathan and Andrew McDaniel of Ogden; and many cousins.
Rob’s career was in engineering, specializing in robotics. He worked for various companies, including ABB (Dallas, TX), Quality Vision Services, Inc., Caterpillar (Decatur, IL), and B. Braun Medical, Inc. (Hazelwood, MO). As a field service engineer, his role required extensive travel, giving him the chance to see much of the country, including a trip as far away as Korea.
Besides traveling, Rob enjoyed cooking, hunting, and wildlife photography. He had a lifelong passion for all types of sports. His TV was always on, watching football, hockey, NASCAR, professional golf, or rodeos. He attended several PGA tournaments, including the 2014 Masters in Augusta, Georgia, the 2018 PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club, and the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach.
Rob loved dogs and spoiled every pet he had. He often spoke fondly of Joe and Buttons from his childhood. His most recent best buddy was his chocolate lab, Ben. Whenever Rob ran errands, Ben was eager to hop in the car for a ride. To quote German philosopher Immanuel Kant, “We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.” Rob truly had a heart of gold.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Rest easy Robbie with those who have gone before you.
