Robert B. Connor

Robert “Rob” Bannerman Connor, 58, passed away on March 7, 2026. He was born on September 25, 1967, in Silver Spring, Maryland to Robert J. Connor and Lynn B. Connor. Rob lived in Vermont for many years but was happiest on the beaches of Maui.

Rob is survived by his mother, Lynn Connor; his sister, Melissa Connor; his brother, Ken Connor; his sister-in-law, Lisa Connor; his brother-in-law, Mustafa Topiwalla; and his beloved nieces, Emily Connor, Layla Topiwalla, and Yasmeen Topiwalla.

Rob was known for his kind heart, inquisitive nature, and sense of adventure. He relished a good road trip or a spur-of-the-moment hike—whether conquering Vermont’s tallest peaks in winter or exploring the lush mountains of Maui. Running and biking, especially with his dog Charlie, brought him joy.

Rob always helped others, whether it was offering his home to those in need or volunteering in his community in Burlington, Vermont. Rob’s passion to help others was evident early on as he chose to work as an EMT and volunteer fireman.

Rob was endlessly curious about the world. He listened to podcasts about cosmic mysteries, read scientific articles on quarks and the Higgs boson, and spent time researching how the brain works, always seeking a deeper understanding of life and the universe.

The family requests that donations be made in Rob’s memory to the Maui Humane Society, Open Door Animal Sanctuary, or your local Humane Society.

we did not get the opportunity to meet Rob personally, which I regret, but the warm thoughts and times spent together shared by Mel and my brother Mustu enlightened us to his kind , generous and caring nature.
A life taken too soon but that’s God’s will he always calls people early who he wants to continue his work in heaven.
God Bless his soul and may he be at peace and free of Pain in God’s World.

Our thoughts and Prayers our with Lynn, Mel , Ken and the rest of the family.

    Warm regards

May he rest in peace, I knew him once in passing. He was a good man, philosophical, and kind.
