On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, Robert “Bob” Hoelscher passed away peacefully and he was 69 years old. Bob was preceded in death by father, William D. Hoelscher. 

He is survived by his mother, Sharon L. Hoelscher; sister, Jacqueline R. Martin; brother, Martin W. Hoelscher(Maureen), sister, Katherine L. Poppen(Gavin); nephew, Nicholas Kampschroeder(Miranda); nieces, Shelby R. Martin(Daniel); Audrey Poppen, Martha Poppen; great niece Delilah Reno-Martin; great nephews, Xavier Sousa-Martin and Royce Reno-Martin. 

Bob was a lifetime riverboat pilot on the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers. He loved his job, as well as Cardinal baseball. His hobbies were travel and anything related to the Cosmos. 

A celebration of his life will be planned in the near future for close family and friends.

Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN.
