Robert “Bob” Neary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Neary, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and cousin. Bob peacefully left us on June 6, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Bob was born on July 6, 1937 to his parents Francis and Florence (nee Crozier) Neary in Rochester, NY. He was the cherished brother of the late Ronald Neary and late Ruth Neary. Bob is survived by his brother Richard (Cathy) Neary and sister Janet Philbrook.
He graduated from University of Rochester as a Chemical Engineer, and retired from Monsanto in 1991. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband to his wife Judy (nee Flunker). Together, they shared countless memories through 56 years of marriage and built a life filled with love and happiness.
Bob was a dedicated father to his children. He is survived by his son Brian (Janice) Neary, daughter Catherine Neary, and daughter Lisa (Randy) Ziegler.
Bob immensely enjoyed his role as a grandfather. He brought joy and laughter to his grandchildren who will forever cherish his memory. Surviving grandchildren include Will and Ben Neary, Talie, Macy, and Dylan Ziegler.
He was always ready with a dad joke or pun for his nieces and nephews, Colleen (Clarence) Hensley, Sean (Renae) Neary, Alex (Brandi) Philbrook and their families.
Bob enjoyed and will be missed by his in-laws and their families, Margie Flunker (John) Parr, Pat Flunker (Dave) Meyer, Jerry (Linda) Flunker(deceased), and their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Bob touched the hearts of many with his kindness, wisdom, and strong sense of family values. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
