Robert “Bob” Schmidt
Robert W. Schmidt (“Bob”) of Chesterfield, MO died on May 3, 2017 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of 23 years to Sydney Jumper; devoted father of Erin Schmidt (Kelly); loving grandfather of Harper Schmidt; stepfather of Amy Jumper (Zion Hilelly), Carol Robertson (Bruce), Kathryn Carlton (Gary), Peter Jumper (Nancy), and Mark Jumper (Ginger); step grandfather of 18 and step great grandfather of 6; son-in-law of Charlotte Dicken.
Raised in El Monte, CA, Bob traveled the world while working first for Pan Am and then TWA/American. He continued traveling in retirement, visiting all 7 continents. Bob enjoyed live stage productions, working in his yard, and participating in his church.
Service: Memorial Service on Friday, May 19, 2017, 11:00AM at Manchester United Methodist Church, 129 Woods Mill Rd, Manchester, MO 63011. Visitation precedes the service at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Circle of Concern.
Bob welcomed with open arms our huge clan and we all loved him! His smile lit up the room and you could always count on Bob to make you feel like you were something extra special. I will miss him!
