Robert F. Molitor

November 12,1936 – June 6, 2024

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Bob passed away peacefully, surrounded by family members, at his home. Beloved husband to the late Rosalie H (Weiss) and devoted father to Geralyn Bianchi, Mary Ann Molitor, Karen Weissler, Robert (Mary) Molitor II, and Elizabeth Pillow. Loving grandfather to Lauren, Brian (Bridget), Christopher, Erin, Lillian, and Peter. Awesome great-grandfather to Addison, Jaxon, and Anthony.

He attended Epiphany Parish Grade School and St Mary’s High School class of 1955. He was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wentzville. He retired from Southwestern Bell in 1997.

He enjoyed traveling, fishing, boating, camping, lunches with high school and grade school classmates and getting together with family and lifelong friends. At home you would find him relaxing in his recliner.

Caring brother to Janice Bolinger and Ray Farris, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by loving adoptive parents Albert and Cecil (Farris) Molitor and caring birth parents Claude and Ida (Pohlmann) Farris, sisters Patricia Pieper, Edna, Dorothy, Norma, and brothers Paul, Glenn, and Charles Farris.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 27th, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 405 S. Church Street, Wentzville, MO 63385. Visitation at 10:00 am, Memorial Mass at 11:00 am.  A luncheon reception will follow Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the BJC Siteman Cancer Center, Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri Chapter or St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

    To my Buddy Mr. Molitor
It’s hard to find the right words to express the depth of my sorrow at your passing. Over the past ten years, you became so much more than Elizabeth’s father—you were a mentor, a friend, and a source of endless laughter and wisdom. Your sharp wit and the way you loved to bust my chops always made our time together so enjoyable.

I’ll deeply miss our conversations about baseball, politics, and the many lessons I learned from your stories about the past. You treated me with immense respect and made me feel like a part of your family. Your presence in my life was a true blessing, and the void you’ve left behind is immense.

Thank you, Mr. Molitor, for the incredible impact you’ve had on my life. Your legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom will live on in our memories. I will carry your spirit with me always, and I will forever be grateful for the time we had together.
With heartfelt sorrow and deepest respect.

One of the greatest men on this planet and he will be missed. So many stories to laugh at and that is how I will remember him. God bless the family and hope you will smile like me on the great man he was.
