Robert John Fink

Robert John “Bob” Fink
June 28,1925 – March 18, 2016

Bob was born in Pine Lawn, MO to Otto and Alma (Albrecht) Fink, and baptized and confirmed at Bethesda Lutheran Church. He graduated from Normandy High School and served his country in the Navy during World War II which instilled his lifelong patriotism. He was a skilled carpet layer for many years and later was employed by the City of St. Louis as a stationary engineer before retiring. As a long time resident of Ferguson and member of Zion Lutheran Church, he was an active worker and witness of his strong faith in Jesus.

Bob loved visiting with family and friends, watching birds from the back porch, whistling, and following Cardinals baseball when he could no longer fish, deer hunt, camp with his children and grandchildren, travel to every state (including Alaska twice and Hawaii many times), work on cars, and do woodworking. He always stayed engaged and enjoyed life.

Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Audrey (Bergmann), daughters Lexine (Ken) Pranschke, Lorine (Lester) Pelletier and Lugine (Ron) Hein, grandchildren Paulita and Peter Pranschke, Lorien and Lynsey Pelletier, Seth (Kelly), Elliot and the late Austin Hein, great grandchildren Sean and Shannon Yockey and Isla Hein, brother Ralph (Dolores) Fink, godchildren, neices and nephews, and many good friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Harold (Pauline) and Otto (Gerry) Fink.

Our family wishes to thank you for playing an important part in Bob’s
life. We rejoice in knowing he is now at peace with our loving Father, celebrating his new Easter life in heaven.
