Robert “Bob” Keith

Robert (Bob) Keith was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 13th, 1935. He died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 82. Robert was a graduate of McKinley High School (Class of 55). Married his high school sweetheart, Carol Virginia Evans. Bobt served his country in Korea. He work in the produce business for most of his career.
Bob was an avid boater and traveler. Bob and Carol were members of the Contrios Boating Club. Bob was the Harbor Master at the Duck Club in his retirement (1994-2001). They rented cabin cruisers and piloted them through the Bahamas. Bob and Carol traveled throughout the States and Canada : Niagara Falls, Hawaii, Grand Canyon, Utah, Alaska and Florida. They went on many trips in Caribbean, Mexico and Central America: Costa Rica, Belize, Guatemala, Panama/Panama Canal, Cabo San Lucas, Cozumel, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Cartagena, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Barbados, Bahamas, Grenada, Tobago, Virgin Islands/US & British, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Martinique/St. Maarten, Saint Lucia, Turks & Caicos Islands.
Bob enjoyed ancient history. He and Carol went to Egypt in November of 2001. It was a great trip and they got closeups of the monuments, since there were very few tourists. Bob said, “no terrorists could stop him from missing his trip to Egypt”.
Bob was preceeded in death by his father (William Woodson Bently Keith), his mother (Julia Eileen Keith – Creeley), his brother (William Keith). Robert is survived by his wife (Carol Virginia (Evans) Keith), by one brother (James Keith), by two daughters (Shari and Dawn Keith), three grandchildren and 1 great-granchild.
