Roberta A. Alford
Alford, Roberta age 81, of St. Charles, MO, died on June 11, 2022. Roberta married Kenneth V. Alford on September 3, 1960, they were married for 43 years. Roberta cultivated her two greatest loves (family and home) into her lifelong career as a Realtor. She proudly helped hundreds of families find their homes throughout the St. Louis area. Her love of decorating and gardening was also evident in every home she touched. She took great joy in hosting gatherings to bring friends and family together. Roberta was a lifelong Christian Scientist and enjoyed being an active member of her branch church. Roberta is survived by her children, Steven (Laura) Alford, Cynthia Wray, Christen Alford and Constance (Nathan) Sablan; her grandchildren, Brandon, Jessica, Cassidy, Ashley, Carson, Hannah, Jacob and Joshua; great-grandchild, Magnolia; and siblings, Marilyn Keith, Patricia Hanzl and David Berkheiser. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Audrey; her husband, Kenneth; and son, Scott. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to The Principia, the school where she enjoyed witnessing the many sporting accomplishments, worldwide travels, theatrical and musical performances, artistic endeavors, academic pursuits and careers of her children and grandchildren.
Recently thought of Roberta and learned that she had passed. I’m sorry I missed seeing her again so I could tell her how much I appreciated the genuine kindness, thoughtfulness and respect she showed to our family when we moved to St. Louis. She exuded love in everything she did as a realtor, as a friend and as a fellow church member. The last time I saw her, shortly before we moved out of the area, was at an event with several people attending. She took the time to come to me, look me right in the eye, and assure me that our family was loved. She was and continues to be a blessing to all who had the privilege of meeting her.
