Robin L. Fritschle

Robin L. Fritschle, nee Schoenecker, 60, of Barnhart, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020, at her home. Robin was born Dec. 31, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Oliver and Lorraine Schoenecker (nee Schoeneberg). She grew up in St. Louis City.

Robin was united in marriage to Charles Fritschle, known to all as Glenn, on Sept. 19, 1981. The couple moved from St. Louis to Villa Ridge, before making their home in Union. Later, in 1998, the family moved to Fayetteville, Ark. The couple moved back to the St. Louis area in 2003, living in Barnhart.

While raising two children, Robin worked a number of jobs, including as a cake decorator at Schulte’s Bakery in Union and later as the general manager of FastLane in St. Clair. At times, she held multiple jobs at once to support and provide for her family, as their health, safety and happiness was of paramount importance to her.

Robin loved camping and spending time outdoors with her friends and family. Her favorite place was the ocean. She enjoyed reading, interior decorating and traveling with her husband. Throughout her life, Robin kept a number of pets including dogs, cats and birds.

She is survived by her husband and best friend of over 38 years; her children, Ellen Fritschle (partner, Ben Mizzles), Plano, Texas; and Evin Fritschle (partners, Madeline Gilje and Katie Mason), St. Louis; one brother, Rod Schoenecker (wife, Laurie), Dardenne Prairie; three sisters, Lauren Gerheauser (husband, Steve), Arnold, Candy Birks (husband, Alan), Independence, and April Fenton (husband, Mike), Sappington; her parents-in-law, Ken Fritschle (wife, Patty) and Jane Mayhew, Warsaw, Ind.; five nephews; six nieces; many nieces- and nephews-in-law; aunts; one uncle; many cousins; other family members and friends.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Schoenecker.
