Rodney Lephone Epps
Rodney L. Epps, Sr. was born August 7, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Frank and Nadine Epps, who both proceeded him in death. To that union (4) children were born; Rodney being the eldest, Frank Allen Epps Jr., Kathy Epps-Williams, and Eric Epps.
He was educated in Saint Louis Catholic Schools.
On November 11, 1997, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Marie Reese-Epps.
Rodney was employed with Doorways Interfaith Residence for many years.
“Big Rod”, as he was best known, was best at giving us a sense of his own humor and made sure we all left happy with a taste of his cooking.
On Friday, December 7, 2018 the trumpet sounded and the Lord called our beloved Big Rod home.
Rodney leaves to cherish his memory: His devoted wife, Marie Reese-Epps; three children, Paris (Derrick) Hagins, Rodney L. Epps Jr., and Marquale O. Reese (Special Nephew); one grandson, London D. Hagins; two great-nieces, Zoey and Bailey Williams-Johnson; three brothers, Herman, Greg, and Clarence; and a host of extended family, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
