Roger C. Morris
Roger C. Morris, age 60, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at The Quarters at Des Peres in St. Louis, MO. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just 39 days earlier.
Roger was born April 15, 1958 in St. Louis to William and Fern (Looney) Morris. A past active member of the Carondelet Chapter of the Order of DeMolay International, Roger served as the Master Councilor for the youth fraternity in 1975. He was a graduate of Southwest High School in 1976 then went on to Washington University in St. Louis to receive his BS in Systems and Data Processing in 1991 and his MS in Information Management in 1995. During his time at Wash U., Roger was member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society and on the Dean’s Honor List. Roger’s career included several promotions at Process & Chemical Equipment Company, Anheuser-Busch, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Post Enterprise, Roger served as a Disaster Housing Inspector for FEMA in response to Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma. He also became an active member of the Steps Alano Club, serving as its Treasurer.
He was a problem solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. Roger had such a generous heart and was always willing to help others in any way that he could. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Roger is survived by his daughter Stephanie, three siblings (Walter, Faye, and Robert), and dear friend and companion Melinda.
At Roger’s request, his body was donated to the National Body Donor Program for the advancement of science. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, August 30th at 6:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (10445 Clayton Rd, St. Louis, MO 63131). Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Roger I miss you more than I ever thought I could. I find myself talking to you and you’re not there. So many things I still want to say to you. I miss our long talks All Through the night. I realize since U been gone how much I leaned on you for support emotional And physical. I only hope that I took care of you as much as You took care of me. You are a wonderful person and I will miss you forever. Love you always .
Remembering the good times with Roger during our time as DeMolay brothers… because during that time we were all like blood brothers!!
