
Roger “Darren” Benoist
of Missouri passed away Monday, November 24, 2025. He was born in St. Louis County on April 25, 1962 to Roger Benoist and Jackie Nix (nee Simpson).
Darren left this earth after a courageous battle with liver cancer.
Darren went to Pattonville but eventually made his way down to San Antonio, TX, then California and back to Missouri.
Darren enjoyed the wilderness, the country, and open places. He called Warrenton home. He enjoyed cooking, camping, and fishing. He worked in California in his younger years as a lineman for the electric company and continued service as a lineman for the cable company in the 1980’s. Darren ended up in the restaurant industry in his later years.
He also raised labradoodles at one time and worked as a repairman in appliances.
Darren was compassionate and easy to get along with. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Darren was an uncle to Justin in which one Christmas literally saved his life.
Darren is survived by David J. Nix, three sisters: Tammy (Darrell) Stonebarger, Tracy (Danny) Maytas, Laura (Dan) Westhues, two brothers: David S. Nix, Jim (Tiffany) Nix, a host of family members including relatives from Shelbina and friends in Warrenton.

Darren is proceded in death by his father Roger B. Benoist and his mother, Jackie (Simpson) Nix.
In lieu of flowers: Crank up some Rock-n-Roll, then call someone you love. It doesn’t matter which order you prefer. Smile….life is short.
