Roland Lindhorst

Roland Lindhorst, 81, passed away on January 27th, 2018 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s. He is survived by his wife, Barb, his daughters, Sharon Murphy, Renee Fox and his grandchildren, James, Rachel and Garrett. Roland worked 42 years for National Supermarkets. At retirement he loved to fish, camp and was a hummingbird enthusiast. Roland was a participant in a Parkinson’s study and has made a gift of body at Washington University. Special thanks to the staff at Manor Grove and Heartland Hospice. Roland’s family will celebrate his life privately. Donations to the APDA(St Louis American Parkinson’s Disease Association) appreciated.

    Roland was a wonderful uncle and I am so grateful for his positive influence in my life. He will be missed by many people who loved him. Peace and prayers to the family.

    I didn’t know Roland before Parkinson’s, but he had a great sense of humor the short time I did know him. If it weren’t for the exercise group at Delmar Gardens that Roland and Al attended, I would not have met his amazing wife Barb. I know that he and Al are now sharing stories of building, fixing and just having fun. God Bless you Roland, and know that you will be missed. Barb, I am so sorry for your loss.
