
Roma Kay Lawler
Roma Kay Lawler, (nee Reeves), baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection on January 24, 2025 at the age of 84 surrounded by her loving family. She battled lung cancer with a strength and positivity that was inspirational to all those around her.
Born on February 10, 1940 to parents J. Kenneth and Dorothy Reeves, who both have preceded her in death. Beloved wife of Stephen (Steve) Lawler for over 62 years; loving mother of Keith (Laura) Lawler; cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Ryan) Simms, Ashley (Collin) Youngerman, and great-grandmother of Audrey, Claire, Dylan Simms and Theo, Landon, Nolan Youngerman; dearest sister of the late Patricia (the late Henry Vogt and the late Glenn Schroer) Vogt-Schroer and Jackie (Duane) Quick; Aunt, Cousin and Friend.
Roma was a light in this world whose radiant personality touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She knew no stranger and was loved by many. Roma was loyal and she fiercely loved her family and friends. In her fun-loving nature, she always enjoyed a party or social outing. She was proud of her family and loved showing off pictures of her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed life and truly lived each day to its fullest. Her love will be in our hearts forever. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 10:00 a.m.

Roma’s final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through donating her body to
St. Louis University in the hopes of medical advances for others.
