Ronald Keith Fagerstrom
Ronald Keith Fagerstrom passed away peacefully at 8:38 a.m. on August 23, 2025 at the age of 82. He was born in Rockford, IL on July 7, 1943.
Survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Linda Thomson. Lovingly remembered by his son Aaron, daughter Mindy (Jeremy) Stone, step-son Anthony Thomson, grandchildren Rose Stone and Atom Zuniga, dear friend Alicia Wilton, and his brother William (Barbara) Fagerstrom; as well as many friends.
Ron was a manufacture’s rep for many years. In his sixties, he became a job developer for Easter Seals, working until the age of seventy-five. He was the author of Mill Creek Valley, A Soul of St. Louis, an artist, an amazing photographer, loved playing the piano and volunteering in the community. His spirit and the joy he brought to this world will live on in all that knew him.

Dear Friends,
The History Museum in Forest Park has run out of the book that Ron Fagerstrom authored in 2000. Actually, they ran out quite some time ago as I bought their last few copies back in the early part of 2025.
If you still have Linda Thompson’s contact information from his funeral in late August, would you please let her know that the History Museum would like to buy more copies of Ron’s book, if she still has them.
Even if she has more copies, they would also love to rent or buy from her the rights to reprint Ron’s book. If she has Ron’s master copy of his book, that would be of the greatest value.
There is only one other book on Mill Creek Valley, and it’s a much thinner book with only the author’s recollections in it, whereas Ron was able to interview several people, and he has a more extensive portrait of that neighborhood.
Being a history museum, they are keenly interested in books like this.
Thank you!
