Oh Dear Patsy, You have been a pastoral care taker for many as a sojourner on this earth. We pray that God gives you the peace you have earned in all you do and in the loss of such a good man. Ron’s pictures took me through a good 40 + years of sharing stories of your and Ron’s lives — the best the bleak, the difficult and the happy times you have lived together. Know that he is always with you and that you can talk with him anytime, day or night. Your love will ever change as God keeps you both in his care. Love and prayers for you as always.
    Kathy

Dear Patsy, My heart goes out to you at this difficult time, but how fortunate you were to find and marry your soulmate – St. Ron. God truly blessed your marriage for so many years, and it was obvious to see how much Ron adored you. He was such a remarkable guy. I know the past few months have been difficult for you, but take consolation in knowing that he has a great caretaker looking out for him now.

    Dear friend, mentor and confidant,

My heart is so heavy for the loss of your best friend and forever love, Ron. As a couple, you were unstoppable. You and he were the couple so many of us aspired to have; your love for each other so evident. I remember all the kindnesses and the compassion he showed both me and Scott; I don’t know where he found the time or patience most of the time, but he did, and he shared it willingly with everyone in need. He told great stories, he made not so bad wine, but the meanest margarita! His eyes had a twinkle with friends and loved ones and his laughter always sincere. He found it so impossible to be negative. I cannot imagine your sorrow but I do know, believe deeply, that Ron is with you and will always be with you. You will notice it in many ways as time goes on. Your memories are many, and will help you through the difficult times, I pray.

With my love and many hugs and prayers,
    Rita

Ron was married for 18 years to Barbara Malta. They had two sons, Ronnie and Chris and adopted a daughter, Melissa. He and Barbara met in high school where she was an A+ student and he was a C- student. She did his calculus homework during his three years at Rankin, during which he skipped classes to cheat on his wife. After cheated on his he during the entire married, he deserted her in favor of Patsy who had three failed marriages and lost custody of her children. She was desperate to remarried, Ron was obliged to rescue Patsy who threatened suicide. In doing so he deserted his wife and his children, refused to pay child support, ignored his opportunity for child visitation, and died without knowing the accomplishments of his own children. Chris became a PGA golfer and Melissa a successful business owner. And their father didn’t have the decency to acknowledge their existence in his obituary,
And that wife he dumped? She became a PhD candidate, a college professor, world traveler and a corporate vice president of an international company. After retirement, she became a published author, a historic reenactor, and a public speaker. She continues to live happily ever after, but countries to resent how he so casually discarded his children.
This post is prompted by the fact that is children were not notified of his death, were not provided for in his will and the fact that while his former wife was in graduate school Patsy sent her many poison pen notes tell her that she would never be able to support herself and the children, all the while withholding child support.
The irony of this take writes itself.

Sorry for the typos. I have macular degeneration, which makes it difficult to use electronic communication.
