Rose Marie Clynes
Rose “Marie” Clynes said her greatest achievement was helping raise her 4 boys (almost 5) to become successful caring men, each with loving caring families of their own. Rose Marie Clynes, 84, of Oakville, Mo. passed away peacefully with family around her on February 10, 2024. “Marie” was born in St. Louis on September 21 , 1939, to Ina and Herman LaChance(deceased). Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edward H Clynes, her sister Patsy LaChance who passed very young and David Scott Clynes, her 5 th son who passed just before birth in 1973, due a traumatic event that normally would’ve taken both mother and child. Marie survived that event due to miraculous work by her doctor and by the grace of God!
Rose “Marie”, is survived by her brother (Bill) William LaChance, her four sons, Michael Edward(Ruth) Clynes, Timothy Paul(Pam) Clynes, Patrick Keith(Cathy) Clynes and Brian Charles(Teena) Clynes; her grandchildren; great grandchildren Michael Clynes II, Nicole Clynes, Trinity and Yahweh Clynes, Amanda(Josh) Clark, Liam and Fiona Clark, Jamie(Marshall) Tucker, Timothy(Sheryl Haegele) Clynes II, Timothy Clynes III, Shauna(Chad) Carney, Hannah and Cannon Carney, Jessica Callaway, Teresa and Michael Callaway, Ashley(Mark) Edwards, Blake Edwards, Patrick and Kiera Gorman, Sean Gorman, Amy Dalba(Brian Snyder), Isabella and Cruz Dalba, Liam Snyder, Michael(Stephanie) Zumwalt, Nicholas Clynes, Laura and Logan Jackson. Marie co-owned and managed an HVAC contracting business with her husband Ed for many years. She was the heart and soul of the business and made many friends by just speaking on the phone with them. She was also a business manager at May Co. and established and co-owned a collection agency. Her proudest achievement was raising her 4 boys and being a mom to all the neighborhood friends who came through her doors. She would become such good friends with neighborhood kids, that it was common to find her children’s friends (that she persuaded) helping her clean the house while they were waiting on one of the boys. She loved and cared for them all.
A private graveside service is pending. Please make any donations in her honor to Dementia Research
