Rose Marie Murphy (nee Wagner) was born July 26, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of the late Ora Lee Franklin and Herman Wagner. She was the last of nine children born to this union.

Rose was educated in the St. Louis Public School District. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. At the tender age of 15, Rose gave birth to her first child, a son Antonio G. Wagner. On March 4, 1977 she married Donald T. Murphy and to this union two children were born. Donald T. Murphy, Jr. and Carmen Michele Murphy.

Rose loved her family tremendously. She had a heart of gold. She was a caring, loving and gracious woman. She would always feed anybody who was hungry and always was willing to share whatever she had with anyone in need. She always enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Rose departed this life, peacefully, surrounded by her children and family on November 13, 2013 at the age of 58. She was preceded in death by her son Antonio G. Wagner who passed away on August 19, 2006.

Mrs. Rose Marie Murphy leaves to cherish her memory: Husband, Donald T. Murphy; Son Donald (Elizabeth) Murphy, Daughter Carmen Murphy; Grandchildren, Deandre’ Brown, Tyree Brown, Torrick Manns, Akia Wagner, Akenya Wagner, Milon Murphy, Neah Murphy and Nikai Murphy; A host of nieces, nephews, sisters, brother, cousins, many wonderful friends and neighbors.
