Roy Linberg

August 2, 1931 to November 24, 2020

Roy “Bud” Charles Linberg, 89, of St. Louis, MO died peacefully Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Missouri State Veterans Home. Roy was proceeded in death by his parents Roy and Letetia and sister, Dorothy. He is survived by his wife Jean; three daughters: Carrie, Catherine, and Jennifer, as well as 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Roy graduated from Maplewood High School and went on to St. Louis University where he earned his degree in Marketing. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force, where he was stationed at Lackland AFB and Kelly AFB in Texas. Roy retired from McDonnell Douglas after 32 years of loyal service.

Roy is remembered for his unending love and dedication to his family, his generosity and his love of airplanes, dogs, and classic cars.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Roy’s honor to The 5P- Society (fivepminus.org), or St. Vincent’s de Paul Society (svdpstlouis.org).

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
