Ruth Strecker
Strecker, Ruth Elaine (Riggs) of Florissant, Missouri, surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2019, at the age of 66. Beloved wife of 43 years to James Strecker. Loving mother of Elaine Strecker, Paul Strecker and Susan (Gary) Taylor. Devoted grandmother of Aiden and Garrett Taylor. Dear sister of Jim (Janie) Riggs and Tom (Bettie) Riggs. Caring aunt, loving sister-in-law, beloved co-worker and friend.
Ruth was born November 6, 1953 to James and Alice Riggs in Pierre, South Dakota and grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. She moved to St. Louis and worked as an office manager in a law firm for over 40 years.
Ruth requested a celebration of life party rather than a service, for which details will be provided at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the STL Cure for Sarcoma Foundation on her behalf.
I worked with Ruth for many years at the law firm and she was such a good friend and loved her so much. She will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
Ruth and I worked together for 11 years. She was one of the hardest working and capable persons I knew. Selfless in many ways, she looked out for everyone at the firm and was a good listener. I still remember her smile, her kindness and humor. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing and know she is dearly missed by all those who knew her. My deepest sympathy goes out to her loving family during this sad and difficult time.
