Samuel “David” Youngerman

Samuel “David” Youngerman, 74, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on October 9, 2024. Born on July 20, 1950, Dave was a cherished member of his community and a beloved figure within his family. 

He was a successful entrepreneur, having owned an operated American Cab for many years before retiring from Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. His professional life was marked by a strong work ethic and dedication to service. 

Dave had a zest for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He was an avid enthusiast of sports and classic cars. He relished in the experience of dining out whether trying new restaurants or revisiting favorite spots. Dave also cherished vacationing on the beaches of Florida and valued every moment spent visiting with family and friends. 

Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Deborah Youngerman; his children, Heather Youngerman, David Youngerman, and Dana Diamond Block (Tim son-in-law). He was a proud grandfather to Alexis Youngerman, Trenton Block, and Lena Block. His siblings Barb Rowlett (Gary brother-in-law), William Youngerman, Nancy Untneker, and Jackie Helderle (Gary brother-in-law) will also hold his memory dear. Dave was also a brother-in-law, uncle, and a friend to many, touching numerous lives with his warmth and generosity. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Youngerman, and his brothers Rick and Joe Youngerman. 

Dave will be remembered for his lively spirit, his commitment to his family, and his ability to make those around him smile. His legacy of kindness and enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire those who knew him.
