Sandra Lou Metcalf

Sandra Lou Metcalf, age 85, passed away on Thursday, May 7th, 2026 in Fenton, MO. She was born to Harry Ford and Mary Ellen Ford (née Kinney) on August 21, 1940 in Danville, IL.

The youngest of eight siblings, Sandra was a part of a large and loving family with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Outside of the family, she found great success in many career paths—such as working at her father’s diner—before eventually retiring after a decades-long tenure at Citi Mortgage. Creative and intellectual, Sandra could often be found reading, cooking, baking, and doing other crafty activities such as crochet or embroidery. A lifelong animal lover, she always had one of her cats in her lap or by her side. Most of all, Sandra treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, be it during weekend visits or at holiday gatherings playing party games.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents (Harry and Mary Ellen) and five siblings (Virginia, Hazel, Harry Jr, Thelma, and Delores). She is survived by her three children (Candy, Teresa, and Frank), one son-in-law (Michael), two granddaughters (Samantha and Ashley), two sisters (Betty and Irene), and many other loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

She was like family. A sister to my mother, a second gramma to my kids, a neighbor for decades. She will be dearly missed.
