September Courtney

July 28, 1965 – July 8, 2026

September Courtney, age 60, of Florissant, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on July 8, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer.

Born in St. Louis on July 28, 1965, September was the daughter of the late David and Joanne Courtney. She grew up to become the kindest, most big-hearted person to those who knew her. Though she was naturally quiet around new people, once you got to know her, she was a fiercely loyal friend for life. September was deeply protective of everyone she loved and would truly help anyone in need.

A life-long, die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan, September also had a great love for soccer. Her passions extended to photography, reading, talking politics, and a deep affection for animals. Above all else, she loved her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Little; her sisters, Danielle Courtney and Christine Courtney; her brother, William Courtney; her sister-in-law, Charlotte Miller; her brother-in-law, Ben Miller; and many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, David and Joanne Courtney.

Celebration of Life

A celebration of September’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced. Instead of mourning her passing, the family invites you to join them in celebrating the beautiful life she lived.

Memorial Contributions

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in September’s honor to the American Cancer Society.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I didn’t know September that well but every time I met her she smiled and made me feel welcomed. I see that she and I had a lot of things in common. I do remember her being shy. I am not shy I just wish I talked to her more so we could of shared similar interests. May you rest in peace September. If you all need anything please just ask. I am praying for you all.
