Shannon Kibbee born May 23, 1978 and passed away on October 28, 2017. She is survived by her grandmother Josephine Kibbee, her loving father Thomas A. Kibbee Sr. and sister Jennifer (Karl) Koeb, her adoring nieces and nephews Samantha and Emma, and Jackson and Liam.

It is impossible to say enough about the impact Shannon had on the friends and family in her life. Shannon was an overcomer and warrior in this life, she was never given the easy path but she never let it stop her from achieving anything she put her mind to. Shannon had cancer as a teen and beat it, she went on to work her way through college and graduated with top honors with a Masters in Education. History was Shannon’s passion from a young age due to the wonderful teachers in her life so it was no surprise Middle school history was her choice and what she would go on to teach. She embodied her favorite saying, “those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it” as she taught the future generations. She believed that you have to get involved to make a difference so Shannon worked the elections every year. Shannon never took a day for granted and although she never had children of her own she treated every child as if they were her own, especially her nieces and nephews whom she lived for. Shannon will always be in the hearts of those who knew and loved her; especially her sister and best friend Jennifer, her Father as Shannon was a daddy’s girl from day one, and her puppies Hershey and Ruby. We will miss everything about this beautiful human until the day we meet again.
