Sharon Anne Farrell

January 8, 1951 – July 15, 2026

Sharon Anne Farrell, 75, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026. Born in St. Louis on January 8, 1951, Sharon was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Geraldine (nee Lucas) Farrell. A graduate of Harris-Stowe State University, Sharon beautifully integrated her education into both her professional career and her deeply held faith.

Sharon’s life was defined by her profound devotion to helping others. Guided by her faith, she spent 1970-1984 serving as a Dominican Sister of Sparkill, a sacred time of devotion that shaped her caring spirit and lifelong commitment to faith and service. She later translated this passion into a meaningful career as a social worker, advocating tirelessly for those in need and bringing comfort, dignity, and support to countless individuals in the St. Louis community.

Though she did not have children of her own, Sharon’s heart was endlessly full. She possessed a rare gift for friendship and maintained a vibrant social circle of dear friends who became like family to her.

She was the dear sister of Bo (deceased), John (Angie), Patty (Lori Chinen), Danny (Chris), and Mike (Kim). She was a cherished aunt to Shannon (deceased), Bobby (deceased), Katie (Todd Rick), Molly Harville (Jason), Meghan, Geri Cruey (Tarren), Ricky (Brian Switzer), and Brent (Kristin), and treasured her role as a sister, aunt, and great-aunt, always celebrating her family’s milestones and showering them with love.

Sharon’s warmth, unwavering faith, and dedication to her community will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Church, 3014 Oregon Ave, St. Louis, MO 63118, with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m.
