Sharon Parks

Sharon J. Parks Nichols, age 79, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025.

Born on July 17, 1946, in South Bend, Indiana, Sharon was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where she built a life filled with love, hard work, and devotion to her family and friends. One of 13 children, she grew up surrounded by the lively bond of a large family.

In November 1986, she married Bruce Parks, her loving husband of nearly 40 years.

Sharon was a remarkable woman—known for her tireless work ethic, her kindness as a friend, and her deep capacity for love as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was simply a great person whose warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats and dogs, who brought her endless joy. Sharon loved playing bingo, getting lost in a good book, and cozying up to watch Hallmark movies, finding comfort and happiness in these simple pleasures.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Joseph J. Canania (February 25, 1969 – January 4, 1977) and Kevin D. Elkins (October 28, 1974 – September 15, 2008); her daughters, Teresa Canania and Angela Elkins; her grandchildren, Nicole Storie, Michael Bruggeman, John Bruggeman, Jayden Bruggeman, and Kelly Bruggeman; and her great-grandchildren, Emily Hanks, Haley Hanks, and Luca Bruggeman.

Sharon will be deeply missed—more than she could ever know—and forever loved by her family and all who knew her.

If you would like to send flowers, cards, or any contributions, please do so to Mr. Bruce Parks at 2986 Melton Dr., Arnold, MO 63010.

A memorial will be held at a later date at her home; details to come.
