On February 24, 2020, Shawn Joel Smith, loving father, passed away at the age of 48.

Born on January 22 1972, Shawn lived in Oscoda Michigan, and St Louis, Missouri. With natural curiosity and initiative he explored many pursuits, and in the process touched many lives and made lifelong friends. Shawn’s kindness and loving heart was felt by all who knew him, and he was especially compassionate towards animals. His greatest joy was his children Ava, Alana, and Elliott. He was known for his infectious smile and wit, his gentleness, his sense of adventure, and his integrity.

Shawn is survived by his children Ava Smith, Alana Smith, and Elliott Smith, co-parent Julie Smith, his loving partner Amity Schneider, and sister Heather King Tallent, sister Laura Koser, brother Brett King, mother Susan King and father Stuart King.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 27th at 10am at St Louis Cremation, at 2135 Choutaeu Ave, St Louis MO 63103.
