Sherry Hamilton

On Thursday morning, October 6, 2022, Ms. Sherry Hamilton entered into the kingdom of heaven by stepping across the threshold we call death. Ms. Sherry Hamilton departed her life in loving care of two sisters, Louise Washington and Theresa Smith.

Sherry was born February 7, 1962 in St. Louis to Dorothy Bond-Washington and Rubin Johnson, both preceded her in death. Sherry never met or knew her biological parent, Rubin Johnson. She was born to the loving, caring reunion of Louis Washington, whom raised her all of her life as dad.

Sherry was educated in the public school system where she attended Central High School. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age.

Sherry met her soulmate, Mr. Andrew Hamilton and was joined in holy matrimony until his death. She later in life married Ronald Johnson until this day.

Sherry worked in the medical field in various hospitals as patient care and nurse assistant, until her failing health.

Sherry had four loves of her life; family-shopping-cook shows-reading the Bible daily. Despite Sherry not having children, she believes strongly in good family values.

Se leaves to remember; her father, Louis Washington; two sisters; Theresa Smith, Louise Washington; brother, Kenneth Jefferson; brother, Louis Washington, Jr., preceded in death at 8 months old, three nieces, ten nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The Broken Family Chain

Little did we know that morning, that God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,

For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,

Big Sis, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

We still the STL girls; Sherry, Theresa and Louise.

Love, Your Sisters
