Sheryl La Vern Watts

Sheryl L. Watts, 76, passed away following complications of Alzheimer’s Disease on Thursday January 11, 2024 at Delmar Gardens of Meramec Valley in Fenton, MO. She was born April 14, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, The daughter of Willard W. and Audrey L. (Harder) Watts.

Sheryl graduated from Southwest High School, Class of 1965. Following graduation, she attended Stevens College of Business and went on to hold numerous administrative support roles throughout her career.

Sheryl attended various churches and had been a member of Christ the King Community Church as well as Grace Union Church. Throughout her life, Sheryl was involved with many church organizations and enjoyed singing in the choir and playing the organ. She loved creating jewelry for the Monarch Organization that benefitted victims of domestic abuse. Sheryl was a fan of Missouri sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals.

Sheryl was predeceased by her parents Willard and Audrey Watts, brother Willard (Bob) Watts Jr., and her brother-in-law Earl Moore.

Surviving are her sisters Nordys (Watts) Moore and Charlotte (Watts) Cease and her brother Lenard Watts. Also surviving are Sheryl’s nieces and nephew, Stephanie (Nathan Byrd) Moore, Gina (Heath) Markley, Aaron (Callie) Moore, Dennery (Jacob) Martinez, and Kacie Moore.

Also surviving are Sheryl’s great-nieces and great-nephews, Hugo Axe, Ivy Axe, Ellisyn Martinez, Jaxon Moore, and Blake Markley, who lovingly referred to her as “Aunt Carlos”.

Sheryl also left behind many friends who loved her dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024 at 11am at Christ the King Community Church 9018 Big Bend Rd Webster Groves, MO 63119. Lunch will be provided following the memorial service.

In lieu of Flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Sheryl’s name to The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

    Sheryl was a special lady with a beautiful voice. She sang a song called Masterpiece 30 years ago when my grandson Wesley was dedicated to the Lord. 💕
