Shirley Worley

Aged 83 of Ballwin, MO.

Shirley went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 9, 2021 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She went peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Before moving to Ballwin, Shirley was a long-time resident of Wood River, IL where she raised her children and retired as a medical transcriptionist. She had a generous heart and a quick wit. She opened her home to anyone who needed a safe place and was referred to as “Mom” by so many who knew her. Shirley was most recently preceded in death by her husband Kenneth C. Worley. She was also preceded in death by an infant granddaughter (Dominique Bouldin). She is survived by eight children: Ted (Laura) Wilks of Bristol, IN; Helen (Marty) Luber of Imperial, MO; Nick Wilks of Maryville, IL; Gary (Kim) Wilks of Moro, IL; Debbie (Jeff) Hawley of Chesterfield, MO; Georgia (Chris) McMillian of Elsberry, MO; Ethil Matthews Bouldin of Ballwin, MO and Shelia (Matt) Day of Ft. Campbell, KY; 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to any organization that supports our military. Private Interment on Monday, September 20 at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. All are welcome to attend a Family Visitation with light refreshments on Sunday, September 26 from 2:00-4:00 at Bonhomme Presbyterian Church, 14820 Conway Road, Chesterfield, MO. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite military organization.

    Shirley was such a fun person and I always looked forward to seeing or hearing from her. Ivan and I will miss her and think of her often. Rest In Peace Shirley.
