You were my Daddy and best friend. I miss you everyday. I pick up the phone to call you and get sad you aren’t there. I wish we could have more of our long talks or go to dinner like we use to. There is a hole in my heart in the shape of you that cannot be filled daddy. You are and were the most important person in my life and you live on in my heart everyday.

Uncle Steve – I’m so sorry to hear about your passing. I know that you were loved and cared for until the very end. Growing up, you always had the best sense of humor and smile. I’ll never forget the many holidays we spent together. Say hi to my mom and grandma when you get settled in heaven.

I have been honored to have been Steve’s son in law, from the moment I met him he treated me like one of the family, like I was one of his sons, I will forever be grateful for the time I got to spend with him and the time he has been part of my life these last 15 plus years. You were like a father to me in many ways, you will be missed.

I was 14 when I met Steve because Josh was one of my best friends at the time and still is today now that I’m 42, Steve did a lot for me over the course of the next serval years after meeting him he was nice enough to take me in and let me live with them so I could continue going to school because my family moved to Farmington and in that time I learned a lot about working on cars with him and Josh he even bought me some tools to be able to work on my own cars once I turned 16. Steve was always kind to me and very knowledgeable so when he talked I listened because there was always something to learn from him when he did so. And now that I’m older and was able to go return some of the things I learned in this crazy thing we call life and adulting by working on his house several times on cedar hill and always carried a good relationship with him he was like my second dad and for that I couldn’t be more greatful so hearing that it was his time hit me hard it sucks to get news of someone passing that you have love for. Thank you for everything you’ve ever done for me and taught me Steve you will be missed greatly, with love from Wade Simpson.
