Death can seem so powerful and final. God, who created us and loves us gives us His Word so that we can find comfort during times like this. He shows us that the love we have for our loved one is so much stronger than death and is lasting:
“Place me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm,
For love is as strong as death is,
    And exclusive devotion is as
    Unyielding as the grave.
Its flames (love) are a blazing fire,
The flame of Jah. (1 John 4:8)
    Surging waters cannot extinguish love,
Nor can rivers wash it away.”
    Song of Solomon 8:6,7
