Steven Tucker
Steven Tucker, born on April 10, 1952, in Alton, Illinois, passed away on August 20, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was 73 years old.
Steven was the beloved husband of Susan Tucker and a devoted father to four sons: Nathanial Tucker; Jason Tucker and his wife Ali Law Tucker; Timothy Tucker and Alyssia Ramirez; and Brian Tucker and his fiancée Ashton Umbarger. He was a proud grandfather to Jacob and Bonnie (children of Nathanial); Madison and Everett (children of Jason); and Alexis, Nathaniel, and Isabella (children of Timothy). Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Tucker and Janet Shields Tucker.
A graduate of Southwest High School, Steven went on to earn a certificate in MS-E1 Machine Shop from Ranken Technical Institute. His technical training reflected his dedication to craftsmanship and precision—qualities that carried through into many aspects of his life.
Steven found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for nature and spent countless hours beautifying the family yard through gardening. One of his favorite pastimes was watching birds visit the camera-equipped feeder he had set up—a quiet hobby that brought him peace and wonder.
His faith was central to who he was. Steven loved Jesus deeply and lived out his beliefs as a faithful member of Harvest Church. He served actively as an usher and participated wholeheartedly in the church’s small group ministry, where he built meaningful connections with others through fellowship and service.
Steven’s legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the community he served, and the quiet beauty he cultivated around him. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on September 7, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM at Harvest Church, 9607 Gravois Rd. Visitation from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm followed by the service.
