Steven Smith, age 73, of St. Louis MO, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026.  He was born on December 6, 1952 in York, PA.

Steven is survived by his wife, Laurie Smith; brothers, Kirk Smith and Erik Smith; and his friend, Eric Mullikin.

A Celebration of Life will be held on 10/23/2026 at St. Francis Xavier College Church, 3628 Lindell Blvd., St Louis MO 63108.

Memorial contributions may be made to Evelyn’s House or Love A Golden Rescue.

Steven was my person. More so than a regular “person”, he understood me like no one ever has. Through the tough times and the easy times, the beauty we experienced is uncontested. He was my best friend. I’d like to say I was his best friend, but Zachary probably takes that title. He loved our animals.  He loved me. And he loved life. He brought peace and laughter to most people that knew him. He was always down for a “coke and a smoke” and always willing to sit and talk and listen (until he wasn’t). Steven was a rolling soul, a beautiful human, an accomplished designer, and a wonderful partner. His impact will forever be seen and he will be missed beyond words or comprehension. From all that knew and loved him, but from me most of all.
