Sue Good

Sue Good passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26th 2012 at age 94. She was born to Clay and Sue Stephenson in Kansas City,Mo. on Aug 18th, 1917. She was the third of five children: Clay Jr., the eldest, then Katherine, Sue, Betty, and John. All of her siblings preceded her in death. She married Clymer Defoor Jeffries in 1938. They had one child, Sue Dede Jeffries Marshall (Jay) who was born 6 months prior to her father being killed in action in the second world war in France in Nov 1944. Sue married Robert Good in 1954 and had a second daughter, Karen Good Allison (George), in 1956. Karen died at age 42, leaving one son, Bryce Allison. Sue is survived by her daughter, Sue Dede, four grandchildren: Jennifer Marshall Garner, Emily Marshall (Dennis Brady), Helen Cecilia Marshall (Jason Seidel) and Bryce Allison. plus six great-grandchildren: Sarah Garner, Caroline Garner, Eleanor Seidel, Julia Brady, Henry Seidel and Luke Brady. “Mother Sue” was a remarkable, positive woman who dealt with significant losses and illnesses but was never defeated. She was always pleasant and was conversant on many topics. Most of all, she loved to read and to be with her family, her dogs and her horses. She will be missed. Her remains were cremated and a private family memorial service will be performed. Memorial donations can be given to the Missouri Humane Society’s Longmeadow Horse Rescue Ranch, 480 Joseph Rd, Union, Mo 63084.
