Susie

Susan E. Fronckiewicz (nee Spieldoch)

Susan E. Fronckiewicz (Spieldoch), 81, passed away unexpectedly on December 3, 2025, in St. Louis, MO.
Susie was born on March 19, 1944, to Viridene and Tobias Spieldoch. She grew up alongside her beloved sister and graduated from Southwest High School. She worked at Brown Shoe Company, where she met and later married Robert L. Fronckiewicz. Robert passed away in 2004. Together, they shared 35 wonderful years building a loving family.
A devoted sister, mother, and grandmother, Susie loved playing bridge with her friends wherever they could find a table and four chairs. She also generously gave her time, playing piano at her church, Peace Haven, and other places. She willingly shared her joy of music with others.
She is survived by her sister Marilyn L., her children Jeannine M. (and husband David), Craig R. (and wife Prix), and Kirk R. Susie also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kyle R. (and wife Katherine), Jessica S. (and husband Ross), Beau M., and Casey R.
The family invites those who knew and loved Susie to join them for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. The location will be announced separately.
Instead of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Susan E. Fronckiewicz’s honor to the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, an organization she cared for deeply.

So sorry to hear this news. Susie and I were in the same Southwest High class and also met occasionally with some of the 1961 SW girls during the year. Sorry I cannot attend the Celebration as am in Sanibel at this time. Bob and I send our deepest sympathy to you and the whole family.

My deepest condolences to your family for the loss of our dear Susie. We attended Southwest High
School together and reconnected during the years through our Southwest ‘Girls’ Group. We shared may fun times at her lovely home and played Rummikub as well as bridge together. She was a living example of the fruits of the spirit exhibiting love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and thoughtfulness. This beautiful, talented friend is greatly missed. We will be arriving back late from Fort Lauderdale the same day as the gathering at your home and will unfortunately miss the opportunity to attend on the 28th. Again, our sincere sympathies to you lovely family.

My condolences to all of Susie’s family and friends. I just recently met Susie playing bridge at Lumiere Senior Living. She was so friendly and good natured, we laughed a lot and talked about the old neighborhood. We shared our interest in working with “Loop-it Yarn.” I shall miss her smiling face.
