In Loving Memory of Tammy Marie Wallach
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tammy Marie Wallach, who passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 63.
Tammy lived a life filled with compassion, determination, and an extraordinary love for both people and animals. To know her was to know someone with a heart big enough to care for those who couldn’t care for themselves. She devoted countless hours to rehabilitating wildlife, opening her heart and home to animals in need. She lovingly raised raccoons—her absolute favorite—as well as foxes, squirrels, opossums, skunks, deer, kittens, and many other creatures. Every life mattered to her, and she had a remarkable gift for nurturing them until they were ready to return to the wild.
From a young age, Tammy’s love for animals was evident. She proudly participated in 4-H and was an accomplished equestrian who treasured every moment spent with her horses. She also excelled on the softball field throughout high school, helping lead her teams to championship victories with the same determination and competitive spirit that she carried throughout her life.
Tammy was also a hardworking entrepreneur who proudly owned and operated her own small business. She approached everything she did with strength, resilience, and an unwavering work ethic.
Above all else, Tammy’s greatest joy was her family. She loved her children and grandchildren with her whole heart. Her love was fierce, unconditional, and everlasting, and the memories she created with them will be cherished forever.
Tammy was preceded in death by her beloved son, David Michael Peter; John Peter, the father of her sons David and Danny; her father, Francis “Pete” Wallach; and her mother, Jeri Laverne Roach.
She leaves behind her son, John Daniel Peter; her daughter, Sara Kimbrough; her beloved grandson, Dominic; and her cherished granddaughters, Leah and Sophia, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and countless people whose lives were enriched by knowing her.
Tammy’s kindness, strength, laughter, and boundless love for animals and family will never be forgotten. Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we find comfort in knowing that the compassion she showed to every life she touched will continue to live on through those who loved her.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
