Terrance “TJ” Monte’ Foster Jr.

Terrance went to sleep peacefully at the age of 30, “TJ” became the victim of a tragic crime on July 26, 2020, and he departed this life four months later on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Born February 22, 1990, to LaVanda D. Alexander {Sugar} and Terrence M. Foster {Puddinghead}. In 1996 Rollo and Brenda Johnson became the guardians of TJ and his younger brother, Travon {Pooh} Hurst. TJ accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized into the Agape Seventh-day Adventist in University City, MO.

As a child, TJ was not afraid of hard work and he enjoyed helping others. He often accompanied his grandparents on various Community Service projects from working in the food pantry, collecting and distributing vans with truckloads of food and goods for the needy.

As a teenager, he also went on several Church-sponsored missionary trips throughout the US. and Mexico. TJ was educated in the Kirkwood School District where he attended Tillman Elementary School, North Middle School, and graduated Kirkwood High School in 2008.

TJ had several mentors and role models. TJ often work with his father, Terrence, who taught him a number of skills within the building industry. He also had another mentor, David White {PoDave} who helped TJ discover his love for photography. He soon started his own business as a professional photographer, taking pictures for all occasions in the St. Louis area, where he was known as the”STL PHOTO MAN”. TJ worked hard at his new profession, driven by his love of money, clothes, shoes, and cars.

In February 2016, TJ became a father, a great one at that! During the last four years TJ and his son, Jared, whom he loved immensely, developed a strong bond as they were constantly together. TJ would often ask Jared, “You good son?.” TJ has a great number of beloved relatives, (uncles, aunts, cousins) and he made sure they were not strangers to his son. TJ soon realized he would need to settle down and dreamed of buying a house to provide a home for his son.

Another mentor encouraged TJ to start a career as a Truck Driver. After graduating from trucker’s school and obtaining his CDL, he started driving for Hogan Transportation in May 2020.

Terrance leaves behind to mourn a son, Jared Brooks; parents LaVanda Alexander and Terrence Foster (Erica); two brothers, Travon Hurst and Errol Tate; two sisters, Tia Foster and Erica Tate; Grandparents, Brenda Alexander-Johnson and Rollo Johnson, he’s very special aunt Shavell Alexander-Connor (Gerald), and a great number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Our condolences goes out to the family. It is never easy to say goodbye to the people we love; and it’s extremely hard to say goodbye to a child. Please keep in mind that God promise we would see our love ones who died in Christ again; so until then, be strong and of good courage. RIP TJ
