Terry Wayne Pickett

Terry Wayne Pickett

May 19, 1953 – January 17, 2019

After a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer, Terry succumbed to the disease and has left to be with our Lord. He is preceded in death by Linda Ehrhardt, his parents Ray and Marvine Pickett, and his brothers Ronnie and Ray Jr.

He is survived by his step-daughters, Theresa and Heather Ehrhardt; his sisters, Geronda Pickett, Charlotte Wessels (Rich), Connie Tetrault (Mike); his brothers, Thomas Pickett, Marvin Picket (René), Bruce Pickett, and Allen Pickett (Kathy); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family, as well as a host of friends.

Terry was a United States Army veteran (Private First Class) and active in veterans’ affairs. He was a recovering Alcoholic and was involved with AA for many, many years.

Throughout his life he held many jobs but his most rewarding was that as a self-employed carpet/floor installer. He was dedicated, hard working and he loved life. He was an avid reader, enjoyed going to the movies, and playing RISK. His best times were when he put on the fireworks displays. He enjoyed his family, his friends, and those family get togethers. He loved with his whole heart, and nothing less – all of his heart. He will be sorely missed and there will always be a hole in our hearts. We will always remember the love and Joy he shared with us throughout his lifetime.

He will be interned at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Covenant Community Church located at: 1351 Shepley Drive, St. Louis, MO, 63137.

My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Pickett. Such beautiful pictures of a happier time. May you comfort one another during this difficult period. As a fellow St. Louisan I just wanted to let you know others care and send words of comfort. May the promise at Acts 24:15 serve to ease your pain.

    Sincerely
