
Theodore Carroll Christner
Theodore (Ted) Carroll Christner passed away peacefully at Missouri Baptist Hospital on September 7th, 2025 at the age of 92. He was born in Quincy, Illinois on October 3rd, 1932.
Predeceased by his parents, two brothers and many dear friends. Survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Claudia Trautmann.
Lovingly remembered by Ted’s and Claudia’s daughter, Adrienne Nash (Matt); four children with his previous marriage to Jo Christner: Eric Christner (Kim Dunbar), Kitsy Sheahan (Marty), Kelly Christner, Erin Runnels (Jim); grandchildren: Christopher Sheahan, Molly Carew (Tedd), Collin Christner (Lilia), Caellin Fazio (Dominic), Tyler Christner, Audrey Christner, Avery Runnels, Trinity Christner, Palmer Runnels and Clara Nash; two great-grandchildren: Cooper Carew and Peter Christner; along with twelve nieces and nephews.
Ted was the founder of renowned St. Louis-based Christner architectural firm. He loved tennis, golf, travel, driving his bulldozer and tractor; along with spending time on the farm with family and friends. Ted served on numerous St. Louis community boards.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a future date.
