Thomas Carl Meitz
January 15th, 1942 — March 17th, 2023
Thomas Carl Meitz, 81, of Kirkwood, MO passed away March 17, 2023 at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton.
Tom was born on January 15, 1942 to John and Clara Meitz who preceded him in death.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Ann Meitz (nee Croy) of 46 years. Tom became a beloved member of Ann’s family when they married on January 8, 1977. Some people might have been intimidated marrying someone with five sisters and one brother but not Tom. He fit right in to the many family gatherings for holidays or just family get togethers where there might be as many as 35 to 50 people in attendance.
Ann’s family members that survive are Claudia (Jerry) Dawson, Barbara (Gary) Cochran, Vicki (Jerry) Armes, Gloria (Dannie) Daugherty, Ted (Joyce) Croy, Kim Cato Tipton, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
After serving in the Navy, Tom attended Rolla School of Mines where he received a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Whether it be camping, hiking, fishing or hunting, Tom loved spending time outdoors.
Tom will be greatly missed by many friends and family.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
