Thomas Clay
Thomas “Tommy” Clay IV, 66, of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on June 18, 2023, in St. Louis, Mo. Tommy was born on January 24, 1957, in Baton Rouge, LA, to the late Thomas J. Clay III and Linda (Hinojosa) George. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister, Debbie Veal.
Tommy, known for his loving and caring nature, was very passionate about spending time with his son, Daniel Clay, his daughter, Denise Wiemers, his granddaughter, Jade Njo, and his family and friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Tommy had a love for boating and playing with drones, which brought him immense joy. He also had a fondness for his mother’s tacos and pound cake, as well as fish fries.
In addition to his immediate family, Tommy is survived by his former wife, Laura Lynn (Clay) Haenchen, his sister, Robyn Williams and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tommy proudly served in the Navy, contributing to the defense and security of our nation.
In memory of Tommy, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association-Fight Alzheimer’s and Dementia, in lieu of flowers. This organization is dedicated to supporting research, care, and advocacy for individuals affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Tommy’s warm-hearted nature and love for his family, will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his soul find eternal peace.
