Tim Anthony Poninski

September 15, 1965 – September 13, 2021.

Tim passed away after a year long courageous battle with Stage 4 lung cancer. He loved his family. Tim is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter Erin, stepsons Sean and Matthew Adams, parents Mike and Sue Poninski, sister Anita Clay. He was a brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend.
Tim was an accomplished outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, mushrooming, gardening, horsemanship. Indoors, he enjoyed cooking, reading, and was teaching himself to knit and crochet. He loved baseball and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
Tim had many accomplishments, including a Masters in Accounting, Black Belt in Karate, years of helping people as an EMT and a volunteer firefighter. He has been a corrections officer, paramedic instructor, baseball umpire, owned his own mowing business and has been a hardworking man in many other capacities. He would help in any way he could if somebody needed it. He will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at
Woodlawn Christian Church in Woodlawn, IL on Sunday, October 3, 2021. The service will be at 2PM.

Another memorial service was held on September 26 at Connection Christian Church in Dardenne Prairie, MO.
