Timothy W. Winterbauer

Born February 9, 1968, entered into Heaven on February 20, 2014. Wonderful and loving father to his son, Timmy, whom he loved more than life itself. Tim was preceded in death by his father, William F. and his grandparents William & Dorothy (Roehr) Winterbauer and Harry & Vera (VanHoogstraat) McKay. He is survived by his mother, Pat Jaster (nee McKay) and stepfather Dan Jaster; his sister Tina Winterbauer; brother Bill (Colleen) Winterbauer; soul-mate DeAnna Denney; nieces & nephews Heather, Nick, Alyssa, Sarah, Billy, Abby and Savannah; and numerous aunts & uncles.

After graduating from Cleveland ROTC, he joined the Navy to serve his country. His first assignment was on the carrier USS Nimitz, and was later re-assigned to the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt as a plane captain. Tim saw much of the world during his four years, places that we can only dream of seeing. After his tour in the Navy, he came home and found employment as a machinist at what is now J.W. Aluminum, where he worked for 23 years until his passing. He was a very dedicated and hard worker, and rarely missed work, even when sick.

Tim loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved motorcycles and owned a Harley 100th Anniversary edition for several years, which he took on many road trips with his friends. He also enjoyed playing darts, going “floating,” going to his place in the country as often as possible, and just taking road trips to get away. Tim has many, many friends and loved being with all of them whenever he could. But more than anything, he loved being with his little mini-me Timmy. Tim was a very generous and giving person, and everyone loved him and enjoyed being around him.

Tim will definitely be missed by everyone, but we know he is in Heaven now with his father and grandparents, and finally at peace.

Services: A Memorial Visitation for Tim will be Sunday, March 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ziegenhein Funeral Home, 7027 Gravois Ave., St. Louis.
