Vern was a sweet and gentle giant of a man. I have known him since the 3rd grade. I always enjoyed visiting with him whenever we would see each other at family gatherings or in Springfield’s Hobby Lobby. He will be missed by many, especially his family and dear close friends like Rich, Reed, and Floyd – plus many more. My sincere condolences to all who loved him.

Vernon was a great guy & very good man. He loved my brother Ron and was always there when needed. I remember the many mischievous moments they shared with their side kick, Richard Pound. God bless him &his family.
