Vincent Croghan, Jr.

Vincent Croghan, Jr., 78, of St. Louis, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Born on February 9, 1948, in St. Louis, Vincent was the son of Vincent Croghan, Sr. and Marianne Croghan. He built a life rooted in hard work, family devotion, and a joyful spirit that drew people to him wherever he went.

Vincent was a skilled lithographer and the proud owner of Commerce Color, where he earned a reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and integrity. His dedication to his trade reflected his belief in doing things the right way and treating people with respect.

He shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Cherri Rogers Croghan. Together they built a close-knit family and a lifetime of memories. Vincent was a devoted father to Lori Seemann, Charlie Croghan, Derek Croghan, and Wade Croghan; father-in-law to Bethany Croghan and Marie Croghan; and a proud grandfather of Daxton, Ethan, Carson, Parker, Cooper, Eliah Grubb and Sophia Grubb.

He is also survived by his mother Marianne Croghan; his siblings Kitty Wilson, Ann Relling, Tom Croghan, and Jeanne Sullivan; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Croghan, Sr.

Known for being fun-loving and quick with a joke, Vincent was truly the life of every party. He cherished time on the water, especially boating at the Lake of  the Ozarks, where he felt most at peace. He was also a devoted fan of Motorhead, and his love for music was just one more way he connected with others and celebrated life.

In keeping with Vince’s wishes, his body was donated to Washington University School of Medicine/BJC Healthcare for research, a final gift to help advance medical knowledge and care for future generations.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date; details will be announced.

Vincent will be remembered for his laughter, his loyalty, and the warmth he brought into every room. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless lives he touched with his humor and kindness.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
