Vincent Orville Sansone

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear brother, Vincent Orville Sansone, on Saturday March 5, 2022, at the age of 76 years old.

Vincent will be sadly missed by a great number of family and friends, as he was instrumental in getting the family business started with our father Vincent Philip Sansone in 1970 as V&S Concrete Contractors, Inc., bringing his cement finishing expertise as a member of Cement Masons Local 527 and his gifted personality as the best salesman. We had the pleasure to know and eventually become part of that organization as the family grew together as one life-long team.

Through the years, Vincent procured concrete flatwork with mainstream General Contractors of that time, in the likes of Alberici, C. Rallo, McCarthy Brothers, Greystone, Six Flags Over Mid-America and many others. His reputation with all builders remains strong and he was considered one of the most trustworthy in the industry. As competition became overwhelming later in the 70’s, Vincent branched out the family business, creating Gateway Builders, Inc. and Masonry Contractors, Inc., erecting the new trend of commercial metal buildings which conveniently included concrete floor slabs and sitework helping to keep V&S Concrete afloat and eventually grew to new construction projects in the states of Louisiana and Florida. Vincent also assisted Gary Sansone in creating Pool Tron, Inc. which has become one of the largest swimming pool contractors operating across Missouri and Illinois.

The untimely passing of our father, Vincent Philip Sansone, in 1982, eventually led the family to all join together with Gary Sansone at Pool Tron, Inc. to this day. Vincent stayed very active as Sales Director until a couple of years ago when his life-long activity from starting as a construction laborer eventually took its toll on his back which forced him into retirement, and an unfortunate turnaround in Vincent’s health recently led to his passing.

Every person that came into Vincent’s life, likely has a memory or two of his vibrant personality bringing comfort and laughter to all in and out of the construction industry. Vincent helped us to remain close together while working with each other every day of the week and still remain a tight-knit and loving family.

Vincent was the beloved brother of Larry Sansone, Debra (Charlie) Doering, Gary (Nancy) Sansone, and Dennis (Colleen) Sansone.  He was also a dear uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and coworker to many, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent P Sansone, his mother, Mildred Sansone (NEE: Broch), and his sister Susan Kinslow (NEE: Sansone).

A brief internment service will be held at the columbarium mausoleum at Bellerive Gardens Cemetery at 10:00 am on March 17, 2022, which is located at 740 North Mason Road, St. Louis, MO 63141.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that anyone wishing to express their condolences do so by donating to either the Make-A-Wish Foundation or St. Louis Children’s Hospital, in the spirit of Vince’s gracious generosity and wishes for good favor upon everyone he met.

Vince was my fraternity brother and my dear friend. Over the last few years we communicated regularly via the internet as I live in Texas and he was in his beloved St.Louis. He was a man of steadfast faith in his creator. The world will be a lesser place with his passing, but Heaven is now a better place with his entrance. RIP Brother Teddy Bear….
