Virginia Mary Branson (nee Clancy) fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, died after a brief illness on December 1, 2016 at 94 years young. Daughter of the late James and Cecilia Clancy. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Patrick Branson, dear mother of Teresa (Tony) Kissinger. Loving grandmother of Sarah (Andrew) Ward and great-grandmother of Connor, Hayden and Finn Ward. Dear sister of Joan (Walt) Zimmermann, Patricia Knobbe, the late Norine Powers, John Clancy and James J. Clancy Jr. Sister-in-law to Beverly Clancy, the late Fran Powers, Mary A. Clancy (Kovarik), Mary F. Clancy (Sandman), and Ken Knobbe. Joyful aunt, cousin, and friend to many, especially at Our Lady of Life, her home for the last 18 years. Virginia was a life long St. Louis resident, active in her work and church community. She was truly loved! A memorial mass will be held Friday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 670 S. Laclede Station Road, Shrewsberry MO, 63119.
