Vogler Jr., Clarence Sullivan “Skip”

On Monday, November 13, 2023, Skip, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 79.

Skip was born on July 1, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Clarence & Billie (Boone) Vogler. Skip graduated from Fox High School in 1962. On June 20, 1964, he married Janet Pulliam. Together they raised 1 daughter Lisa and three sons, Mark, Greg & Robert.

Skip was a clown for the Shriners for 29 years. He was known as “Rusty” and provided countless hours of entertainment to the public and to his family and friends. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for over fifty years. He worked for St. Luke’s Hospital as a Stationary Engineer and retired in 2010.

Skip enjoyed gardening, traveling and being a dog dad to his precious Sadie. During the Christmas holidays, Skip created award winning light shows at home that drew crowds to witness his spectacular work. He was known for his quick wit, his storytelling and his compassionate spirit.

Skip was preceded in death by his father, Clarence and his mother Billie. He is survived by his wife Janet, his four children Lisa, Mark (Bambi), Greg, Robert, his grandchildren, Katelyn, Dylan and Mia, his sisters, Vicki and Rhonda. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Murphy in Fenton at 1:00 pm.
